Tip: amounts accept $ and commas. "Copy Last Row Value → Next Months" fills every month after the last one you entered in each row with that same value — handy for rent, subscriptions or other recurring amounts.
Cashflow forecast questions
Why is "Net Profit" different from "Net Cashflow"?
Net Profit only reflects your sales minus your expenses — the profit and loss side of the business. Net Cashflow also includes balance sheet movements like equipment purchases or loan repayments, which affect your cash but are not part of profit and loss. A business can be profitable and still run short on cash if a large balance-sheet item falls in the wrong month.
What belongs in the Balance Sheet Movements table?
Cash items that do not appear in your profit and loss — buying equipment, repaying loan principal (not interest, which is a genuine expense), owner contributions or drawings, and tax payments are common examples.
Can I have more sales or expense categories than the default rows?
Yes — use "+ Add Sales Row", "+ Add Expense Row" or "+ Add Balance Sheet Row" to add as many as you need, and the small × button on any row to remove it.
What does "Copy Last Row Value → Next Months" do?
For every row across all three tables, it finds the last month you entered a value for and copies that same value into every month after it. Handy for recurring items like rent or subscriptions — enter the amount once and fill the rest of the year in one click.
Does this save my figures?
No — everything stays in your browser only. Use Export CSV or Print if you want to keep a copy.
